forestland now become Members Only?Many people have been using my graphics without credit. Now, I am aware that this is (unfortunately) common and can happen anyway with users who are members of the community, but I'd like to think that if you have now made the effort to join then you would have the decency to credit. - I have also noticed that when
was Open Membership, my Bandwidth was eaten up quickly due to hotlinking, and since making the community Members Only the % has decreased dramatically.
3. Why did you reject my membership request to forestland?
The only time I reject a membership request is if your journal is empty and obviously never used (sockpuppet accounts). Many other graphic communities enforce this same rule as well.
4. May I use your graphics on other websites?
I kindly request that you stick to either LiveJournal, Dreamwidth, or other similar blogging websites* as well as crediting myself (![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
birch) or the community (forestland). Recently I've caught users on message-boards using my icons & posting my icons (as well as graphics made by other makers from LiveJournal) all taken without permission or credit, and claiming as their own. I simply would like to know where what I make is being used and by whom. As mentioned in the previous question, Bandwidth/hotlinking is also an issue with this. Thank you for understanding! (*Exceptions to the rule can be made, but please just ask first, and remember to credit!)
5. Do you take requests?
No, for the time being. All requests are closed until further notice due to lack of free time on my part. I also do not make custom journal layouts. Sorry!
6. I like the image you used in Icon #X in Post #X. Do you have the original?
Every image I use for my graphics I either have saved in my we♥it account or on this community's Tumblr account. I usually have the images saved in the order that I used them, so if it was an older post chances are you would have to search through a few pages to find it. Or, if you're really not finding the image, just ask!
7. Help! You have broken links / disappearing icons!
If you see any broken links or graphics that are no longer showing up, please let me know here and I will fix them ASAP!
